A Brayden Kennedy update.

This is my great Nephew Brayden. He is just about 5 months old. Isn't he cute? According to my niece, her Nanny/Best friend Claire likes to take these silly pictures. ha! Does this remind you of Elton John?

A treasure to me.

Last Christmas, I wrote my first and possibly only Christmas letter. In it, was this black and white picture taken of me and my dad in May / 2005, just about a year before he died. The great thing about this picture, besides it is a treasure to me - is it's probably one of the only photos snapped of my dad in the last 10 years. He hated to have his picture taken, especially since his battle with cancer. But that day, I asked and he agreed. The photo is not as it seems, he had a terrible time since the cancer treatment with his jaw and neck muscles. So while there was a smile in his heart, his face did not always reflect the same. Just goes to show you really can't judge a book by it's cover or a heart by a face. I rediscovered this picture today while sorting through old cards.

I dedicate this post to my dad, Bill Bond -June 10, 1932 - May 27, 2006.
May his love shine on in our hearts forever!

Livingston, Texas with family

The Farm - bought and house built by my Grandpa Owen when I was a little little girl. Here is a quick snap of the front of the farm. The door as it is now - was made from the wood of a tree my Grandpa forever parked his truck beneath. Second picture is pasture now but it was the land my grandpa used to garden. My mom has done a great job in making it a place for all of us to get together.

My favorite cousin Sharon was down the road cleaning out what use to be Uncle Richard's cabin. The pond there is very nice. He worked hard and left them something really beautiful.

I saw my sister Shyrl, otherwise and forever more known as GG! She is a grandma. It's easier to see Shelby with a baby then it is to see Shyrl as GG! But look, how happy she is with the baby. I wish more things made my sister smile like this.

Paper, scissors, stamps and ribbon - Create.

I have recently found a new creative outlet and I really enjoy it! I've started making cards with Stamin' Up merchandise . I am in fact, a "Hobby" demonstrator. Meaning, I can demonstrate, but mostly, I enjoy the amusement and innovation of ideas. I don't think I can say craft yet, seeing as I haven't perfected my skills. While my blog won't be all about cards - from time to time, I'll be happy to share one or two.

Here are a few of my first cards. Some are from my upline. What do you think?

Let them eat cake!

A few minutes ago, my birthday passed. Gone for another year or until I draw my last earthly breath. I just realized, I did not have a piece of cake. . . humm?

I still had a great birthday. Went to work and I was sang to several times. In person, over the phone and through email. People are sweet to remember. Speaking of sweet, I received a lovely bouquet of spring flowers - see! They really smell pretty too!

I went to lunch and a movie with my friend, Brenda Jones. Took an evening nap and went to the airport to pick up my beloved Parker people after their two week vacation in Canada.
THERE IS NO GREATER JOY THAN TO BE IN THE COMPANY OF LOVED ONES!

Tina the Great and a nephew update. . .

I went home for a few days (more like a few hours) this week but saw a bunch of cute cute boys! The intent of going home was circled around my Uncle Richard's passing and funeral. While it was a sad and quick turn around - the boys were a silver lining to an otherwise cloudy day.

Brayden is 4 months old - seriously thinking about calling me by name just any minute.

Look at Kaden with his big lemon slice smile and yes he was just this happy and silly the whole time I was around him!
