Falling into a Thank You

This card is fashioned after Jen's Saturday sketch. I found this coordinating set of papers and thought I be making a Thanksgiving card with it. But it turned into a thank you note. Thanks for stopping by. T

A card for Karee

I made this birthday card for Karee Roe, a friend at church. I used Mercy's sketch of the week as my pattern. I love the sugar paper and the present was cut out of my Cricut Expressions. ~ Glad tomorrow's Thursday, how about you?

My friend Gary.

My friend Gary's dad passed away this week. This family is familiar with loss, they've been in the ministry and Kimbra's mom passed a few years back. There is hope. The hope of seeing him again in heaven. I know this family well enough to say they'll be reunited and they'll be comforted by the Holy Spirit. Matt 5:4, one of the Beatitudes. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." I trust that Gary and his entirely family are being comforted now.
I fashioned this card after Mercy's sketch of the week. Thanks for stopping by.

98, 99, 100!

One of my friends asked me to make a card for her friend turning 100. Wow! What an honor! I was so excited. She asked that it be feminine. What's more fem than Bella Rose? I cut the numbers on my Cricut with the Storybook cartridge. I cut them from my favorite glitter paper. Thanks for checkin' in.

I ruined Suzy/Mercy's sketch this week. Do you ever get something in your head and it doesn't work out but simply can not shake the original thought? On bother!

Green grapes and my mom.

Shortly after I was born, I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. A slight case on my right side but it would lead to many early Friday morning appointments to Shriner's. Early Friday morning because that was the day of the week they scheduled all out patient services. All appointments were scheduled at 8:00 AM. They called patients first in / first out. So we were often the earliest people there. My mom, mother of four, up early to take me downtown. We left early and she knew we were in for a long wait. She always took a bag of green grapes. I'm sure at the time it served as a morning snack as well as a way to pass time. To this day, I never see a cluster of green grapes without remembering my mom's selfless love.

Just in time.

I was happy to find out my friend Suzy is guest designer on Mercy's blog this month. I've had the idea rolling around in my thoughts all week. Just no time to proceed. Well, last night I finally had time to put my thoughts into a card. I made this card for my adorable friend Riley. She turns 9 in a few days. The party was today and I was ready. This card, and a Target gift card, I was done! I think she liked it, well maybe the Target card was a bigger hit. HA! See you soon, thanks!
