Starting

Starting . . . but it is the end of my work day. Sometimes as I end the day, I'm tired - who am I kidding - almost always at the end - I'm tired. yikes!!! What happen to the days and years of yesteryear when this was simply the beginning of another activity, a second job, dinner with friends?

It may have something to do with the fact that I woke up at 1:25 this morning and never went back to sleep. I have a few friends that live in an senior assisted living senior with dementia or other related concerns. One that I've known and visited with for about 4 years passed away last night. I did not fret her departure as she'd told me long ago, she knew Jesus so I know she's in the company of her King today! It was more of a simply reflection of funny and or thoughtful moments spent with her and those she lives with. I only knew Romayne at the final stage of her life here on earth but in that time, I witnessed her starting her final chapter of this life, meeting her final friends. I may have even seen her sing her last song last week. What a priveledge! What a honor! I wonder - what I'll get to start next . . . .
